I just received this same email. What is it? What are the dangers?
Received same email. What is it? Can some one please let me know what the dangers are?
Received same emial today as well.
This is a high level trojan malware. DO NOT open the attachment. I had to run 3 deep level scans to clean out this malware.
Hi,
What did you use to remove the virus?
Received this note…. Called AA… sat on the phone for 15 min for customer service
THIS IS A Virus SCAN…. do not open it or download it… AA is working to find out who
sent it..
I too received this e-mail today…….
Have now deleted it and thank you all for posting to confirm scam…… suspected it but always good to receive confirmation……..
Work for a FTSE 100 company. This has affected 3 known users within 24 hours, Once attachment is opened i wipes the c:\ and then runs a fake virus scanner saying its found 8 potential viruses then gives you a link to buy the premium version which obviously ask for credit card details. This is a fake virus scanner and a fake website DO NOT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.
Colleague just received this but fortunately company email system removed the executable before he even opened the zip.
I received the email but there was no attachment. Thank goodness
The version I received was a variation of the example above. Scary things. . . First, I just traveled with American Airlines 6 days ago. Second, the destination shown on my email was was the airport I flew to 3 weeks ago. The one and only time I used that airport was via Allegiant Airlines.
unfortunately I opened it , called american airlines and ran a avg virus scan… BUT after I ran the scan the computer was totally messed up and there is now nothing on it!
Got this mail today. Didn’t open the attachment :)
Received two emails on Monday. One said thak you for your order and the other said your order #(whatever) is ready. Your ticket is attached. Thinking my boss had made travel arrangments without telling me I went to print his ticket and the computer started being eaten alive. Forntunately I fixed it immediately, however my boss makes it a point to tell every client or colleague how “dumb” or “stupid” I am. I had the computer fixed before he even knew it was down. I will probably lose my job over it.
