Counterfeit Postal Money orders. Very convincing, and very realistic, but counterfeit nonetheless.

I think that I may have tripped into this one. When I gothome today there was a cashiers check for $2850 that I was directed to cash at my own bank and them money gram $2450 on. Since it is Friday night I can't confirm ift he check is legitimate or not. Needless to day I won't be cashing it our forwarding any money this weekend. The instructions are to do it within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, I was involved with this scam. Did not do any research to confirm the company. Now I am seeking professional advice how to cover loss incurred in this scam. Expensive lesson to learn.

Do any of you know for a fact that it is a scam? Do I? I haven't a clue. If it is a scam, has BBB cited it thus? And if it is, why does it continue? I just saw it was referenced three years ago as questionable.

I usually mark these as phishing scam and move on but this one seemed like it might be OK as grammar and spelling weren't riddled with errors and didn't want identification numbers. But why be asking me information you should already know? And the company email is aol.com. And area code 585 is Rochester, NY - a long way from NYC. Then I decided there was no point in checking the Dept of Business and Professional Regulation and blocked the EverBeauty (located in New Jersey) site it came from.

What is the point posting a comment if nobody can do anything about these idiots? Report them to spam@uce.gov and AOL, everywhere were it makes a difference and turn on the heat for these asses.

Hi Mike.. thanks for your comment. Commenting here increases exposure for this type of scam, thereby decreasing the chances of others being scammed. Awareness is key to fighting online scams.

I constantly receive these in my email; I wish I knew how to stop them; I place them is the 'spam' box they still come; I put them in 'junk' they never stop. you'd think the government could step in because I even get some marked from the FBI...can someone tell me who I need to contact to stop this matter.
