Still being sent. I get them twice a month. There is an html attachment with a broken script. Chrome will not render said document and there is no virus in the doc, no other links either.

Received this on 1//9/2013. Seemed suspicious, so I checked here before I clicked on anything. Destined for the trash/spam heap. Thanks.

Just got this email about a limited account. They screwed up and sent it to an email account that I do not use with PayPal so I was immediately suspicious. Have alerted friends via FB, too.

What should I do if I downloaded the attachment to downloads on my Mac but did not open it? I went straight to downloads and deleted it when it told me it was an application from the internet. Anything else I should do?

How do I report PayPal fraud or a PayPal Scam? "If you think you have experienced PayPal fraud or received a PayPal scam via email (e.g. a fake email pretending to be from PayPal), forward the entire email to spoof@paypal.com, and delete it from your email account. If you came across a fake PayPal website, contact our Customer Service team." Source: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=xpt/Help/general/TopQuestion4-outside

Got this e-mail in my filtered junk mail. Of course, the dead giveaway is the fact that it has an attachment!

yes - received this e-mail and did not respond, however I did try to contact PayPal - was not able to log in to find out what was up so I checked my bank accounts and they seemed safe - need to contact some organizations for verification of charges - not thru PayPal - but direct charges - will not be using anything on internet for a while, make no purchases and watch the account
